I am, to put it lightly, very irritated. That fool Karakael thought he could judge my actions. Whats worse was that he was in the right.

I have no real desire to revenge myself upon him further, so I have resorted to one of the best stress or anger relieving strategies I have yet found.

I am making Weeds.

Few humans understand what pleasure creating a living creature can bring. Further still is the pleasure of creating a living, breathing species, especially one which has the potential for doing great good...

Or, in this case causing great havoc, followed by great good. If anyone else wishes a instant-forest feel free to ask. Side-effects may vary, but so far my sister Kore has been quite pleased with my accomplishments.

The seeds would be gifts from my universe to yours, so do not hesitate to ask!

Weeds?

[darkling-wind.livejournal.com]

Yes. They offer a challenge, and a great reward. After all, they must be very hard to kill.

[the-air-corsair.livejournal.com]

What precisely are they, Madame?

[darkling-wind.livejournal.com]

Oh.

The word 'weed' commonly refers to a plant growth that is extremely rugged and resistant. As such, they often can survive in extremely harsh environments, despite efforts to destroy them.

[the-air-corsair.livejournal.com]

Are those the creatures you referred to? Do plants count as those?

[darkling-wind.livejournal.com]

In this case, yes. I hope to create a weed that can, to a small extent, think for itself.

[doyouhearthem.livejournal.com]

...This sounds promising. Elaborate?

[darkling-wind.livejournal.com]

I am working on a strain of plants that will rapidly mutate and spread. Ideally they will create a base from which the more natural flora of a world can re-assert themselves.

[doyouhearthem.livejournal.com]

Reminds me of the flora of Skaro. Varga plants, they're called, part mobile plant and part infectious disease. They're quite effective at population control, if nothing else.

[darkling-wind.livejournal.com]

Oh now that's an interesting idea. Trees that could act as population control. Hmm.

How did the virus work, do you know?

[doyouhearthem.livejournal.com]

Not really. It's a Dalek creation - as a whole, my people stayed away from such things. From what I know, the plant sends out filaments that burrow under the skin and infect living tissue.

[darkling-wind.livejournal.com]

I think I am going to keep to the idea of the trees merely relocating children and halting unnecessary pregnancies. Much more...subtle.
